italian yacht eventPerini Navi, one of the world’s leading designers and builders of sailing and motor superyachts, is taking part in the exclusive and international Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous at Viareggio between May 9 and 12.

Three Perini sailing yachts will be in port for the Rendez-Vous: the 46m ketch Antara, the 48m aluminium ketch Morning Glory and Is a Rose, a 50m ketch with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.

The Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous also provides the venue for the launch of Perini Navi’s corporate sustainability plan for 2019. A One Ocean Foundation stand on the dockside just in front of the yard’s headquarters will be collecting signatures for the Charta Smeralda, an ethical code of conduct drawn up by the Foundation to protect the ocean. Perini Navi was the first yard to support the initiative.

As a long-time ambassador of elegance, innovation and technology in the world, Perini Navi could not fail to attend an excellence-dedicated event like the Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous which takes place in one of the most important nautical districts of the world,” commented Perini Navi Chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli. “Aside from representing Italian excellence, our yachts express a way of living and interpreting the sea, a dream: what we like to refer to as the Perini Navi style of mind, something unique and unrepeatable”.

Perini Navi is also sponsoring the exclusive “Tenuta Arciducale Polo Cup 2019”, Viareggio’s prestigious international polo tournament which this year celebrates its 10th edition and is being staged at the Villa Borbone simultaneous to the Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous.

Four teams of internationally-renowned players are taking part in the tournament. As partner of the “Tenuta Arciducale Polo Cup 2019”, Perini Navi will be lending its name to one of the teams competing for the coveted trophy. A large group of guests is expected to attend the matches, as well as various social events.
