Il Gruppo Perini Navi è lieto di annunciare l’ingresso di Dirk Johnson all’interno della struttura Perini Navi USA. Dirk Johnson si occuperà di promuovere i Motor Yacht a marchio Picchiotti e farà capo ai nuovi uffici Perini Navi USA, recentemente trasferiti al numero 2 di Marina Plaza – Goat Island – di Newport, capitale velica degli Stati Uniti. Dirk Johnson, classe 1960, laureato presso il New York Maritime College, ha acquisito negli anni una profonda conoscenza del settore della nautica servendo come ufficiale di coperta a bordo di petroliere, navi da carico e rimorchiatori della marina mercantiledegli Stati Uniti e collaborando con successo in qualità di broker con marchi comeBartram e Brakenhoff, Little Yacht Brokers Harbor, Churchill Partners Yacht e Merle Wood & Associates Dirk Johnson ha navigato in tutto il mondo e ha gareggiato in importanti regate internazionali come la Rolex Fastnet Race, la Sidney Hobart Race e la Rolex Transatlantic Race. Nel 2002 ha vinto il trofeo St David Light nella Newport-Bermuda Race. Ha navigato come membro dell’equipaggio a bordo di yacht Perini Navi come Parsifal III, Andromeda la Dea, Antara e Freedom durante la Perini Navi Cup, la St.Barth e le Newport “Bucket” Regatta.

Yachting in Romania, which is mainly concentrated around Constanta and other Black Sea resorts, is likely to grow in the future. At present, yachting is mainly seen as a sporting discipline, but the evolution of Nautical Tourism and the increasing interest in Yachting Romania suggest a broader development.
