Yachts and sport boats are among the Italian products that in the past 20 years have seen the greatest growth in exports. The “yachts and sport boats with inboard engines” sector is today one of the leaders in the Italian trade surplus, generating one of the greatest surpluses and putting it in 20th place in Italy among products that have the highest trade balance in exports. In some difficulty years, followed by the world economic crisis and with the home market penalised by austerity policies imposed by Europe from 2011, Italian yachting companies have demonstrated their resilience, above all in foreign markets. Made in Italy yachting is distinguished for quality and innovation; aspects that are appreciated by consumers all over the world. Italian companies in the sector have also taken the opportunities offered by new markets.
