Third Mangusta 110 superyacht sold in the US

Mangusta 110Mangusta has sold yet another maxi open yacht Mangusta 110 to an American owner, confirming its excellent results achieved in the American market for the past five years.

Francesco Frediani, Mangusta’s Commercial Director, commented: “In five years we have sold eight vessels to the US, of which 6 beyond 100 feet. This success demonstrates that American clients are familiar with and appreciate Mangusta maxi open yachts, acknowledging their aesthetics, functionality and technical quality”.

Such success across the ocean has been carefully prepared by the Italian brand, thanks to the introduction of a new series of technically excellent models which are particularly suitable for the typical American shallow waters.

The Mangusta 110, in particular, is ideal for the US because of her impressive speed of beyond 33 knots, provided by the yacht’s MTU 16V2000 M96L engines, and because of its reduced draft, of just 5’69”, which allows for easy navigation even in shallow waters.

Thanks to waterjets propulsion the yacht enjoys comfortable and extremely quiet navigation, with neither noise nor vibrations. Such feature has long been in use by the Italian shipyard, for more than 30 years: waterjets are fitted on planing and semi-displacement vessels as a standard. Technical research and development in hydro-dynamics have resulted into the perfectly optimised hull for this system.

Moreover, gyroscopic stabilisers allow for maximum comfort at sea or at anchor, on all sea conditions and even at the lowest speeds, expanding the yacht’s range of use and optimising fuel consumption.

Mangusta 110 harmoniously blends style and functionality: her sporty look and comfortable open spaces match with easy handling and manoeuvering, thanks to the introduction of the new Rolls-Royce Kamewa joystick or the dynamic positioning.

Onboard spaces are wide and have been designed for indoor-outdoor balance: indoor spaces will be fully customised by the owner, as for all Mangusta models. The third Mangusta 110 is expected to be delivered in summer 2018.
