New Genuine Leather Steering Wheels by Riviera Genova

At the 65th Genoa Boat Show, the company is introducing new Genuine Leather versions of 4 models of Luxury Marine Steering Wheels for motorboats.

Comfortable, robust, and aesthetically pleasing, the Riviera range of steering wheels is characterized by its high-quality craftsmanship.

The steering wheels are made of black or brown Genuine Leather with black, red, or white stitching. The prototypes were continuously tested at sea for a period of 12 months, thus providing a valuable test bed.

The Genuine Leather covering enhances the product’s design and makes the grip soft, pleasant to the touch, as well as elegant and exclusive to the eye. The natural material ensures a firm grip in all weather and sea conditions, even at high temperatures.

The spokes are made of stainless steel or high-tensile composite. The aesthetics of the spokes are also meticulously crafted, thanks to a mold embossing process that, depending on the model, creates a “carbon effect.”

Steering wheels in genuine leather

The new “Riviera” steering wheels in genuine leather are:

• the 3-spoke VR00 (280 mm diameter), suitable for inflatable boats, open boats, and cabin cruisers up to 4.50 m;
• the 5-spoke VR02 (350 mm diameter) in stainless steel;
• the 3-spoke VR04 (350 mm diameter) in composite material, ideal for motorboats up to 12 m;
• the 5-spoke VR03 (400 mm diameter) in stainless steel for motorboats up to 14 m.

Every component of a Riviera steering wheel is designed and manufactured in-house, which has a design office with 3D CAD stations, a mold shop, and EDM and grinding equipment.

The industrial process also uses lathes, milling machines, and a metrology laboratory. Molding is performed on the same production site. The company issues a product quality certificate certifying not only the authenticity of the leather but also the Made in Italy Marine Steering Wheels origin of the product.
