CrossbowSouthern Wind recently launched the fifth hull of their successful line of regatta-winning sailing yachts, the 31.71-metre SW102 named Crossbow.
The South African shipyard once again collaborated with naval architect Farr Yacht Design and Nauta Design, responsible of the yacht’s interior design and general arrangement. Crossbow is the third Raised Saloon version of the line.
Combining features of both a flush deck and deck saloon configuration, the vessel blends a sleek deckhouse and uncluttered lines with higher ceilings and 270° panoramic windows. Featuring a spacious deck, a tender garage for a 4,2 meter dinghy and a mainsail sheet single point with captive winch, Crossbow is ideal for cruising.
The yacht’s bright and generous interior reflects Southern Wind’s familiar layout: the owner’s suite is located forward in the bow section. Crew quarters are situated aft with an open plan saloon and dining area amidships.
Crossbow’s hull, deck and superstructure are made of a resin-infused carbon fibre sandwich material, creating an extremely lightweight and voluminous yachts that adhere to stringent levels of durability and seaworthiness.
