Monte Carlo Yachts’ superyacht G, most innovative yacht at Cannes Yachting Festival 2015

03_mcy105_navigationDuring last summer, Monte Carlo Yachts launched their largest yacht to date, the MCY 105 superyacht G, at an exclusive ceremony in the amazing scenario of Venice. Later, the yard had the boat on display at the recent Cannes and Monaco boat shows, where the latest yacht launched was awarded the the Most Innovative Yacht Trophy at Cannes Yachting Festival 2015.
The MCY 105 G, featuring Nuvolari & Lenard design, was provided with generous exterior deck spaces with minimum structural interference. The flybridge, for instance, has been stretched to over half the length of the yacht. Separate dining and sunbathing areas are on offer, while an innovative retractable bimini system can either cover or uncover a large part of the deck, according to the wishes of owners and guests. Another good use of space is the Portuguese deck forward of the raised pilot house, where uninterrupted views are enjoyable .
High quality natural woods such as as teak flooring and grey oak for the custom furniture have been used for the interiors. The lowered bulwarks, oversized windows and sliding doors on either side of the salon makes this area feel very expansive and light- despite the dark brown and grey colour theme.
The full beam master suite is located on main deck forward of the salon. The sleeping area being raised, guests are able to enjoy the views outside without leaving the bed. A large skylight floods the suite with natural light from above. Back down the steps is a large walk in wardrobe and the ensuite. Below on the lower deck are three guest cabins. The first hull in the series has a full beam VIP setup, one of the two layouts clients can choose from. The other layout arrangement will have four guest cabins, instead.
The yacht is built according to RINA’s classification standards. G is fitted with 2 x MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines which make her able to reach a 27-knot top speed, and allow for a cruising speed around 23 knots.
