Heesen-Yachts-AzimantaOne of the latest superyachts by Heesen Yachts, the Azamanta, is the world’s first fast displacement steel yacht over 50 meters.
Heesen Yachts and Van Oossanen Naval Architects, which had already collaborated for the creation of other fast-displacements yachts such as the aluminium-hulled 65-metre Galactica Star, worked in partnership once again to achieve such a stunning vessel.
The striking exterior design by Omega Architects features a golden color scheme and an ice-reinforced steel hull. The aluminium superstructure features a revolutionized “shark tooth” design above the wheelhouse.
On the other hand, Sinot Design designed the interior, which is perfectly matched with modern metropolitan art. Expansive vertical windows allow for a flood of natural light in all relevant indoor spaces such as the cabins and decks.
Azamanta can comfortably accommodate up to 10 more guests in her cabins, while the owner’s master suite features a private area with a six top dining table for private dinners.
As for the outdoor spaces, an enormous 110 sqm sun deck is fitted with a large jacuzzi that can be covered away allowing the sun deck to be transformed into a stage for live performances or parties.
With an overall length of 55 meters, the Azamanta is powered by two MTU 12V 4000 M53 engines rated at 1,380kW each, which allow her to easily reach a top speed of 16.5 knots while cruising at half load. The yacht can achieve a cruising range of 4,500Nm at an average speed 13 knots.
