Bilgin-263Bilgin is currently working to complete the development of Bilging 263, their largest superyacht to date. The contract was signed at the end of last year with a very loyal customer who already owns two other Bilgin superyachts.
The vessel’s naval architecture and exterior styling were designed by Unique Yacht Design, a Turkish studio which is active in naval architecture and engineering since 2010, and exterior design since 2013. One of their latest projects, the Squalo Bianco, was awarded as Best Yacht Concept Design over 30 metres at the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2014.
The Turkish shipyard is now completing the interior arrangement and construction drawings. By the end of the month, Towing Tank Testing will be carried out. Bilgin is scheduling steel cutting for the 80-metre yacht’s hull for next March, and the delivery of the customized vessel to her new owner is expected to be in three years, in 2019.
Bilgin Yacht was founded 86 years ago and is currently being run by the fifth generation of the same family who established the yard. Thanks to substantial investments over the years, the company has now the capacity to build up to four superyachts at a time.
