Heesen‘s 70-metre superyacht Kometa, unveiled at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show, is being prepared for launch. She will be the next Heesen flagship, taking her title from the multi award-winning 65-meter Galactica Star.
Kometa is the largest superyacht using the innovative high-performance Fast Displacement Hull Form, designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
With a sleek, sporty and yet elegant profile by Espen Øino International, Kometa is the perfect combination of speed, space and style.
Generous deck spaces (357 square metres) will provide the owner with plenty of room to fully enjoy his voyages at sea. From its sundeck to the beach club, there will be many entertaining alternatives for guests, such as sunbathing, dining, spa, Jacuzzis, jet-pool or just lounging around.
The foredeck is a highly versatile space which can be used either as touch-and-go helipad, or sunbathing, informal dining or even as an outdoor cinema. The 6-metre swim-jet infinity pool with waterfall, glass-panelled bottom and spa jets for hydro massage, was a special requirement from the owner himself.
A 146 square metres beach club include 44 square metres space of folding platforms. The shaded sundeck includes sunpads, barbeque, bar, a dining area and lounge. The upper deck combines with the sky lounge to create an enormous indoor/outdoor entertainment area of 92 square metres. The interior design is by Sander Sinot.
This aluminium Fast Displacement yacht will achieve a top speed of almost 30 knots, which means that she will outrun Galactica Star (she can ‘only’ reach a top speed of 28 knots).
Project Kometa will be launched in Spring 2016 and, once completed and delivered, she is expected to make her world debut at the 2016 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show.
