Luxury car builder Mercedes-Benz brilliantly succeeded in creating its S-class car’s yacht alter ego.
The company recently had its first yacht, called the “Arrow 460 Granturismo Edition 1”, debut in the South of France on the coast of the French Riviera. The luxury boat’s construction was undertaken in partnership with Silver Arrows Marine.
Four years lasted the realization of the concept that had debuted at the Monaco Yacht Show back in 2012. Inspired by the most popular 2016 AMG GT-S automobile, this new elegant vessel is the incarnation of “marine mobility to aesthetic perfection.”
Granturismo is 14 metres long and is powered by 480 horsepower twin Yanmar diesel engines which make her able to reach a speed up to 30 knots, or even 40-plus knots when at light load.
Indoor spaces include a bed space, luxurious bathroom with a separate dressing room, high-quality sound system, air conditioning system, an ice-making machine, and a wine cellar.
Mercedes-Benz announced that the Granturismo will come in an extremely limited edition: only 10 hulls will be built, and only one unit will be sold in a country. To guarantee each hull’s uniqueness, changes and customizations to the owner’s wishes will be allowed, as long as yacht’s design principles are met.

Where the boat ends, the sea begins
The growth and industrial integration process initiated by the Opacmare Group in recent years culminated in 2025 with the acquisition of the Viareggio-based company. This operation strengthens the Group’s presence in the superyacht accessories and megayacht segment and supports an industrial model based on integration, advanced customization, and a range of systems that redefine the relationship between yachts and the sea, now covering handling systems from 10 to 200 m.
