HEESEN Quinta EssentiaHeesen Yachts’ 50-metre Project Nova has been sold. The yacht is under construction and features the Heesen fast displacement hull configuration.
The project perfectly represents the Dutch shipyard’s idea of yachting: an elegant, high performance, comfortable, eco-friendly vessel.
Exterior lines have been drawn by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects: the result is a break from Heesen’s usual design, and yet it is stunning, reminding of a beach villa. Sinot Yacht Design, on the other hand, took care of the interior styling.
Project Nova is powered by a hybrid propulsion system, allowing for silent cruising thanks to two water-cooled CD electric shaft motors of 127kW each. Powered only by generators, the vessel can cruise at a speed of 9 knots. Fuel efficiency is also a remarkable feature in the vessel’s performance: at 12 knots, she consumes 98 litres per hour, and at 10 knots, 57.5 litres.
The 50m superyacht is one of the seven yachts currently being built at Heesen, and she is is scheduled for delivery in summer 2017.
