ARCADIA 85S vetri bassi (1)Arcadia Yachts announced the world debut of Arcadia 85S, the special edition of the Arcadia 85 with sky lounge, at the next Cannes Yachting Festival (September 6th-11th, 2016).
Arcadia 85S is designed to be a family yacht, combining different exterior functions over two decks, and featuring interiors conceived to convey the aesthetic sensation of “open space” and closer contact with nature. The vessel’s layout is the result of a construction evolution: the linear design of the superstructure and the vertical line of the bow allow for a better use of all available space, which create a wider living capacity.

Design and layout
The design of Arcadia 85S reflects simple and understated styling with an harmonious blend between the indoor and outdoor areas. Her deckhouse has been made almost entirely out of double layered reflecting glass, giving the interior a bright and airy feel. The impressive aft-deck lounge (8,50m in length) features a protected cockpit, as well as large sunbathing area towards the stern of the yacht.
The vessels features four guest cabins on the lower deck, including the owner’s cabin located amid ship. A large VIP cabin and two more twin cabins are available onboard. The main saloon provides space for up to 8 guests. The interior of the yacht features modern furniture by well known best of Made in Italy design brands. Almost all the interiors are composed of loose pieces of furniture, thus giving the option of modular layouts. In this version, Arcadia 85 has an open-spaced galley to the dining area. The bow of the yacht hosts the crew quarters for a crew of 4.
A tender garage houses a 4 meter tender.

Innovative fly bridge
Arcadia 85S features a new sky-lounge concept, convertible into a sheltered third-deck, protected by 360 degree windows that can be raised up to meet the hard-top. The whole upper-deck area becomes more flexible with any weather condition. On the third deck are fitted the wheelhouse, a lounge with sofas and coffee tables, wet-bar and, externally in the aft, a sun-deck.

Npl hull and performance
Arcadia 85S has a semi-displacement hull, NPL type, named after the National Physical Laboratory of England, where its shape was determined for the best ratio of length to beam in terms of hydrodynamic efficiency. Studies were implemented by Arcadia’s technical department, resulting in excellent sea keeping qualities and noise reduction. This advanced hull, together with the light Arcadia superstructure, allows for satisfactory performance with low-power engines: it reduces fuel consumption and related running costs compared to other yachts of the same size.
The 25.90-metre Arcadia 85S has a full load displacement of 67 tons. She is powered by twin MAN diesels R6-730hp each (optional engines 2xMAN 1000hp), giving her the maximum speed of 18 knots and she can comfortably cruise at the speed of 16 knots. Her range is approximately of 850 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Solar panels for additional green energy
36ksqm solar panels of the latest generation are fitted on top of the largest part of the superstructure. They supply up to 3,5kw, which is enough to guarantee self sufficiency energy for many equipments and electrical systems. The power needed on board while at anchor, excluding the air conditioning system, is supplied all day long by the solar panels system and convertor rather than the generators. It results in a significant saving of diesel oil, less pollution and more comfort on board thanks to the substantial reduction of noise, vibration, no gas emission while enjoying your time close to the swim platform.
