Nauticsud, the annual International Nautical Show in Naples will take place at the Mostra d’Oltremare starting from February 18th.
For the second year in a row, the event has been organised by ANRC (Associazione Nautica Regionale Campana, the regional nautical association of Campania) in collaboration with the Ente Mostra.
This year’s edition will feature doubled exhibition spaces: “We will have 400 boats – explained Gennaro Amato, Anrc’s President – in an area of about 30 thousand square metres. And the quality of the offer has been improved.” Tornado and Azimut are among the brands which are coming back to the show.
The yard Salpa is going to present its double version of a 23-feet, Italiamarine the national avant-première of its Sanremo 24, already successfully presented in Paris, Gagliotta is going to attend the exhibition with its new Lobster line, Fiart with its historic models and the latest models right from the shows abroad, Mv Marine will showcase its line of inflatable vessels Mito and Vesevus, which are already present in the American market.
And maritime related industries will also attend the show, with a focus on the superyacht and sailing yacht sectors. “Nowadays we want to play an important role – said Amato – being aware of the 70 thousand tickets sold last year, which have allowed us to enter the top ten in the European ranking of the most attended boat shows”.
Nauticsud 2017 will explore all themes related to the economy of the sea, showcasing the current phase of the international market and industry, but also looking forward to possible future strategies for the economic evolutions and their eventual social effects for the nautical businesses.
Shipyards, nautical operators, training institutions, research centres, touristic ports or protected areas, sailing clubs and other maritime sports clubs, related associations, will all be represented at the show.
Another aim of the show is to be back on the water, so to allow visitors to try the boats showcased. The best solution is the Mergellina, according to Giuseppe Oliviero, membre of Ente Mostra. “The challenge of relaunching Nauticsud has been won, but we will have to strengthen the event offering a showcasing valorising all the production sector of the region, which will exhibit the excellence and the handicraft of its boats together with the biggest international brands of the sector.” The latest news of this year’s edition is the installation of Sala Caboto, an area dedicated to Campania’s leisure boating from the age of the Borbone, an exhibition to tell about the masters of artisanal boatbuilding and the historic “gozzi” from Sorrento, to the latest technological innovations of the region’s most innovative yards.
The show will be taking place from February 18th to 26th, (from Friday to Sunday, 10.30-20.30, from Monday to Thursday, 13.30-20.00).
