Mengi Yay Project VirtusTurkish shipyard Mengi Yay is currently building their 43.6-metre custom luxury yacht known as Project Virtus. The steel-hulled yacht featuring an aluminium superstructure is expected to be completed in 2019. Venetian Yacht Design (VYD) was tasked with both the interior and exterior design of Project Virtus while Ginton dealt with the Naval Architecture.

Project Virtus’ four-deck layout features exterior decks focused on relaxation areas for guests. The sundeck features three-zoned real estate with a jacuzzi and sun pads up front, a hard-top shaded alfresco dining area with small bar central and then open space aft for loungers and other outdoor furniture. The deck below boasts an enormous sun-padded area on the aft fitted with a table for cocktails and bar bites. Up front on the bow is also comfortable for guests with C-shaped padded seating built in outside of the wheelhouse and sun pads surround a smaller dip jacuzzi.

Project Virtus’s interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests overnight across 5 cabins, comprising a master suite and four guest cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

With a pair of CAT marine diesel engines, she can speed up 15-knots or cruise more economically at 12-knots.
