42-metre motor yacht Ironman launched by Benetti

Benetti has launched its latest 42-metre semi-displacement motor yacht Ironman, the sixth Fast 140’ model built so far, at its facilities in Viareggio on April 19th.

Ironman features exteriors designed by Stefano Righini, interiors by Alfred Karram Jr with his studio Akj Design Concepts and the revolutionary D2P_Displacement to Planing® hull with wave piercer, designed by Pierluigi Ausonio with the Azimut|Benetti Research and Development Centre, which delivers reduced consumption at cruising speed and a top speed of 23 knots.

Ironman’s interiors are designed by the US-based Alfred Karram Jr who has given the yacht some elegantly sophisticated style details. The large glazed surfaces on the Main Deck, one of the yacht’s stand-out features, become an integral part of the decor, flooding the spaces with light and offering splendid sea views. The main lounge is divided into living and dining areas, with a table seating up to 12 people. On the same deck is the big full-beam master suite, complete with bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and study. The outdoor spaces in the stern, are furnished with a sofa and low tables that can be transformed into one big dining table.

The upper deck is home to the spacious pilothouse, containing the captain’s cabin fitted with a double bed, and the lounge area, separated by a sliding glass door, which is designed as a single space, flowing seamlessly between indoor and outdoor areas. The outdoor seating with dining table and sun lounging area in the stern make sure every moment at sea can be enjoyed to the full. The interior features a big lounge and a bar area, for peerless livability.

The guest night area is on the Lower Deck and consists of two VIP cabins with double beds, two cabins with twin beds, plus a third VIP cabin with a double bed, accessible via the twin bed cabin. Aft on this deck is the roomy beach club provided with a bar and living area.

The Sun Deck is designed to offer owners and guests the utmost comfort, with two big L-shaped sofas to enjoy the view to the full, both when at sea and at anchor. The central section is furnished with a big C-shaped sofa, two smoking tables opposite the bar and, further aft, two comfy sun loungers.
