Pearl Yachts is proud to announce that the Pearl 62 has been awarded Best Layout in the 45-65’ category at the World Yachts Trophies 2020. Announced at the awards annual gala dinner in Cannes on 12th September, the latest accolade follows the nominations of Best Main Salon and Best Master Cabin in the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2020, demonstrating the universal appeal of the Pearl 62’s dynamic design.
Pearl 62: Best Layout
With Bill Dixon responsible for her exterior design and naval architecture, excellent versatility, smart engineering and an innovative rethink of traditional design define the Pearl 62. Measuring 18.61 metres with a beam of 5.3 metres, the Pearl 62 is the only yacht in this size class to offer a full beam owner’s suite with a private entrance, accommodation for eight guests across four cabins and the option of a jet ski garage or crew cabin.
Commenting on the design, Dixon says: “The class-leading interior layout of the Pearl 62 is the result of a multidisciplinary approach from the Dixon Yacht Design office. A holistic approach has been taken to the design: the hull design, exterior design, layout and technical solutions all had to work together to achieve that.”
Amongst the Pearl 62’s stand out features is the large flybridge. Complete with a covered alfresco dining area and comfortable spaces for sunbathing, owners are also offered the option of a stylish hardtop with a sunroof function.
Below, the main deck layout is perfectly optimised to make the best of the yacht life. The aft galley and breakfast area seamlessly connect to the dining area outside, with a welcoming seating area located forward by the cockpit. With ultimate flexibility in mind, owners are offered the choice of two main salon layouts. On the foredeck, a large sofa and comfortable sunpads provide a private spot to soak up the sun or wind down with panoramic vistas.
Award-winning design team
The collaboration between Bill Dixon, interior designer Kelly Hoppen MBE and the experienced Pearl Yachts team has won a host of prestigious design and innovation awards over the years, with the Pearl 95 also being awarded Best Layout in the 2018 edition of the World Yachts Trophies.
