digital marine cartography C-MAP, specialised in digital marine cartography and cloud-based mapping, today launched a simplified and redesigned chart portfolio for Lowrance®, Simrad® and B&G® chartplotters, with the introduction of C-MAP DISCOVER & REVEAL.

As a replacement for the MAX-N + range, C-MAP REVEAL papers show the best of C-MAP. This solution offers the exceptional shading function of the seabed and the hinterland, as well as all the main functions of C-MAP DISCOVER, including complete vector maps.

This is a really important evolution for C-MAP,” explains Max Cecchini, EVP C-MAP. “We heard our customers say the C-MAP range was too complicated, so we adapted with an easier and two-tier product range that provides extremely reliable data to all products, including the basic DISCOVER series“.

With REVEAL, boaters have additional functions available, including the function for viewing shaded reliefs everywhere along the coast and inland, previously only available in our local products in very restricted coastal areas. Our customers asked for this ‘revolution’ and we’re excited to change the game for all boaters by making this view globally available” he concluded.

The revolution of C-MAP Reveal

digital marine cartography Thanks to the new Reveal feature of relief shading, boaters will be able to see the world around them like never before. The 3D representation of the earth’s surface and underwater reliefs with very high resolution bathymetry images, previously only available in MAX-N + Reveal, represents a revolutionary breakthrough for fishermen and divers.

C-MAP Reveal also offers dynamic raster charts, which look similar to traditional charts, with easy access to all objects on the chart and aerial photography, which provides an extra level of detail with thousands of photos of marinas, ports, creeks and other relevant navigation features.

REVEAL’s satellite overlay offers real reference and improves situational understanding when navigating coastal if you are in an unfamiliar environment.
