fastmount Textile RangeNew Zealand based manufacturer of hidden panel fasteners has created a new clip  for upholstery fastening, the TC-SM6S.

This is a sew-on male clip designed to be used with the TC-F6H from the Textile Range as a fabric-to-fabric fastener for upholstery.

Sewing on with two parallel stitches, the TC-SM6S mimics the installation process of the TC-F6H, allowing for a seamless installation process onto any type of fabric. Designed as an alternative to hook-and-loop tape or visible ties on sun loungers, the TC-SM6S is ideal for outdoor furniture such as sunbeds and sun loungers.

The locking mechanism of the TC-F6H into the head of the TC-SM6S means that cushions can’t slide off the lounger, but can be easily removed and replaced to precisely the same position. When cushions are removed, customers can rest assured the male clip won’t be damaged by the sun, thanks to its UV-stabilised nylon composition.

TC-SM6 details

– Sews on during upholstery stage of furniture construction
– Fabric to fabric fixing
– Enables rapid removal + replacement of cushions
– Invisible fixing
– Simple installation with no special tools
– Requires no force for cushion removal

The TC-SM6S has been developed with feedback from some of our key customers and their upholsterers, looking for a sew-on male solution compatible with the TC-F6H that can be used in high-volume installations,” comments Gregg Kelly, Director and Head of Innovation at Fastmount.

The TC-SM6S is compatible with the TC-F6H from the Fastmount Textile Range, and is now available from authorised Fastmount distributors worldwide.
