yachting eventThe dates for the next edition of YARE (Yachting Aftersales and Refit Experience) have been decided. The international event hosting captains and the yachting industry, adopting a new Covid-19 approach, is scheduled on October 20-22, changing, for the moment, the usual March appointment.

About the yachting event in Viareggio

In full respect of the new regulations, YARE – organised by NAVIGO, the centre for innovation and development for the Tuscan nautical industry – will include the in-presence experience in Viareggio, one of the leading yachting districts in the world, with the participation of Superyacht Captains as guests and international refit and aftersales industry (Mediterranean and Northern Europe Countries, the USA, Asia and the Middle East).

To support the face-to-face activities, including the “B2C Meet the Captain” business meetings, new digital solutions and a series of online activities that will promote networking thanks to live streaming, podcasts, workshops and digital meetings, also taking inspiration from the experience of the tenth edition of YARE, successfully held completely online last year.

Confirmed the collateral events such as the Passerelle pitch, in which leading international companies will compete with innovative projects, the RINA Awards dedicated to captains and The Superyacht Forum Live (Captains Edition) – organized by The Superyacht Group – international media partner – scheduled for the first day, with insights into the world of Superyacht market.

Advantages of digital

The 2020 digital edition, had an impressive participation: an online audience of 2,000 people from 25 different countries, 1,000 business meetings, 102 speakers, 19 events proposed and more than 13 hours live streaming with the presence of the major protagonists of global yachting industry.

“During the past edition, technology has supported us a lot in organizing an innovative event which has revealed a great success – underlines Vincenzo Poerio, YARE President – and it was the first time that this type of yachting events had to deal with full digital.  Our hope is, first of all, to overcome the emergency and be able to hold an edition in Viareggio that includes in-presence activities. Nevertheless, the results achieved – also in terms of participation from all over the world – encourage and convince us to continue with a digital format as well”.

YARE is supported by Technology District for Tuscan Yachting and endorsed by SYBAss, the prestigious Superyacht builder companies association.
