The Nauticsud sets another record.
After inaugurating the 2022 trade fair season, with the restart of the fairs at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples, it also recorded a growth in attendance and business in the first opening weekend.
The event, organized by the MdO in collaboration with Afina, welcomed over 200 exhibitors and about 700 boats.
“We started again in the best way – says Remo Minopoli, president of the Mostra d’Oltremare – with the return of a fair that represents one of the best productive sectors, that of boating, in Italy. The expectation and desire of the public was rewarded with a high-level exhibition which recorded in the first weekend, in comparison with the last edition held in 2020, an increase in attendance of + 25%“.
Boat lovers couldn’t miss the exhibit
The crowd of big events at the box office started from the opening morning, forcing the ticket office to open late to cope with the green pass checks and use of masks as required by the ordinance of the Campania Region.
Not even the football match between Naples and Inter on Saturday afternoon “distracted” the boating lovers who crowded the seven exhibition pavilions.
The sun and the following holiday then favored Sunday visits and closed the record weekend.
“As organizers we’re happy about the public response, but as entrepreneurs we’re even more glad about what happened in the first two days of the event” – says Gennaro Amato, number one of the Italian Nautical Industry Association.
“The sales recorded by exhibitors have increased sharply compared to 2020, reaching +30%. That indicates that the nautical market is increasingly experiencing programming. An important fact considering the difficulties in procuring raw materials for us builders“.
Nauticsud: a 360° success
The positive trend for sales, however, is not only among boat manufacturers and retailers. In fact, even among the accessories and service companies the data is more than positive. Transport, technology segment, nautical schools have received numerous requests from visitors.
