italian gozzoLibeccio 8.5 Walkaround, presented in world preview at the Genoa Boat Show 2021, has been designed with the collaboration of Valerio Rivellini Engineering & Design firm and has the same salient features as the Shipyard’s most recent and innovative models.

Like the 8.5 Classic, in fact, the new boat on one hand deliberately recalls the fascinating Sorrento tradition of the 60s with a classic and refined design and, on the other, has the same configuration as the 9.5 Walkaround, with extensive external area liveability, thanks to a freedom of movement never seen before in a boat of this size.

To further increase the level of comfort of the boat, a separate bathroom has also been designed; something totally new for this segment.

Classic design with modern technology

italian walkaroundDomenico Senese, owner of the shipyard, commented: “We saw that the walkaround configuration was very successful on the larger models so we decided to also try it out on the 8.5, of which we had presented a refined Classic version, with a tiller steering system. We feel sure this model will win over many owners looking for a boat of this size in which to spend a lot of time in total comfort.”

Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround therefore presents classic and clean lines and offers generous outdoor and convertible spaces according to the needs of the owner or the different moments of the day. At the bow a large sundeck has been designed, while at the stern a comfortable C-shaped sofa can be converted into a sunbathing or dining area.

The 8.5 Walkaround therefore appears as a classic gozzo which incorporates all the latest modern technology: it is equipped with an electric winch, courtesy lights and Plexiglas panels that form a backdrop to the steps leading to the bow sundeck.

The motorization is entrusted to a 195 to 250 hp Yanmar engine, which pushes the boat to a top speed of 30 knots.

Yachting in Romania: a modernising market on the Black Sea

The Romanian boating industry is undergoing a gradual transformation, driven by investments in infrastructure, marina development and growing interest in recreational boating and sailing activities. Yachting in Romania, which is mainly concentrated around Constanta and other Black Sea resorts, is likely to grow in the future. At present, yachting is mainly seen as a sporting discipline, but the evolution of Nautical Tourism and the increasing interest in Yachting Romania suggest a broader development.
