Schenker Watermakers, manufacturer of desalinators for the nautical sector, is constantly on the lookout for products that combine the need for practicality with ecological transition.
For this reason, the Neapolitan company is addressing its latest desalination innovation to boat owners who need to satisfy occasional fresh water requirements on board, but also to yachtsmen who want to avoid taking water bottles on small vessels.
Now available is Wiki, a pocket-sized watermaker that can be conveniently transported on board in a sturdy customised bag while an additional bag holds the connection hoses.
The machine is easily stowed inside a locker. ‘Wiki’, the name chosen for this model, is a term of Hawaiian origin meaning ‘fast’/’quick’, since this portable desalinator can be activated on any boat in just a few minutes.
In fact it requires no installation and can be put into operation in a matter of minutes by connecting pipes from the sea surface to the boat’s tank via practical quickconnect fittings.
It is powered by 12V, produces 30 lt/hour of fresh water and consumes only 110 watts thanks to the latest Schenker energy recovery system.
It is the ideal desalinator for those who do not want to or cannot carry out work to install a desalinator on their boat, or for those who simply wish to have an additional back-up desalinator on board.
A congenial solution also for charter or racing boats and on all occasions where the need for the desalinator is of an occasional nature.
