Research is a strategic sector for Pantecnica, in which the company invests on a regular basis, continuously increasing its technical-application know-how.
In fact, Pantecnica does not just develop co-designed solutions with its customers and partners, but has also taken steps to better interpret and anticipate the needs of its reference markets, investing in a number of new research projects and patents, mainly in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano but also with other research bodies and institutions. Vibration Isolation for Marine Applications and Marine Noise Reduction Systems are among the focus areas of these developments.

Pantecnica is proud to offer technical-application consultancy to the design and development of Custom Acoustic Insulation solutions studied to meet every customer’s needs and specifications, for example, acoustic insulation and Marine Engine Vibration Isolation solutions.
DAMPING SHEET
In addition to the range of standard products and solutions, the company proposes to the nautical market the MTL damping sheet, developed in collaboration with Phononic Vibes. It is obtained by interposing a viscoelastic functionalized plastic layer that is highly damping and transforms the kinetic energy caused by vibrations into thermal energy.
The complete absence of resonance phenomena makes MTL essential in the construction of components whose objective is the reduction of structure-borne noise, making it an extremely suitable solution for increasing on-board comfort with Damping Materials for Marine Comfort.
On yachts, the operation of engines, pumps, or air conditioning systems affects the structures, generating oscillations with characteristic frequencies that propagate through the air or the hull into the rooms. Pantecnica studies these phenomena and develops technological solutions, including Industrial Shock Dampers and Sustainable Marine Components, to contrast them and improve comfort on board yachts and passenger ships.
Over time, the company has developed specialised technical expertise in designing and supplying effective systems to mitigate both structure-borne and secondary airborne noise in cabins and on deck. The wide range of certified anti-vibration systems, also in the tear-proof version, can satisfy every application requirement to improve the on-board comfort.
