Gianneschi, founded by Luigi Gianneschi in 1969 in Viareggio as a small electromechanical workshop, now employs more than 40 people and designs, manufactures, and sells el/pumps, hydrophores, tanks, water heaters and blowers for the marine industry. Gianneschi Pumps and Blowers products are appreciated for their high level of quality and performance, but also for the numerous applications for which they can be used on board.
From its long experience in the industry, the sister company GSI was established in 2005, dedicated to service and assistance of Gianneschi products for start-up and on-board servicing.
Target Audience and Types of Customers
The main target audience are megayachts from 25 to 80 m, in some cases up to 100 m. In recent years, Gianneschi has also joined this target market with workboats, such as tugboats and Port Authority vessels.
Through its international dealer network, Gianneschi is present in the major markets of the marine industry.
Markets and Trade Fairs
The company’s market is divided into:
- 55% ITALY
- 45% FOREIGN, of which 10% is represented by the USA.
In Fort Lauderdale (Florida), there is a direct dealer sales and service point that, as every year, represented Gianneschi at the last edition of FLIBS.
As for trade shows in Europe, after appearances at SMM in Hamburg, the Genoa Boat Show, and the Monaco Yacht Show, the company was also present at METS in Amsterdam.
At METS, Gianneschi Pumps and Blowers presented important product innovations both in the pump world, with the CB20-87 and CP45, and for onboard water circulation systems.
In fact, live demos of the two new systems were available at the booth::
- Control Pump V.5.0-T, which varies the speed of the motor of the marine electric pump according to water withdrawal from the system to maintain constant pressure and flow rate.
- Intelli CE, which allows adjustment of the stop and restart pressure of the pumps.
Gianneschi’s Marine Offering
All products of Gianneschi Pumps and Blowers are individually tested and delivered to the customer only after strict controls. Each product is associated with a specific serial number that allows tracking of all components used in production, as well as any spare parts.
In addition, for each product, it is possible to request the internal testing certificate and the Type Approvaland testing with all naval classification societies, such as Rina, Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, ABS,DNV-GL, RMRS, CCS and MCA.
The flagship product is Gigetta, a dual-impeller self-priming pump with a functional design also conceived for easy maintenance. With its patented technology, it allows services aboard large yachts for which large water pressure is required (e.g., firefighting) but also those for which more water but less pressure is needed (e.g., bilge).
