On Thursday, February 2025, at 6:00 p.m., the Sailors for Kids association will be presented in Milan: a new project dedicated to young people and the sea, which stems from the experience of Sail the Children.
During the event, the project’s creator, Davide Besana, will be present: an illustrator, writer, sailor and great sea enthusiast, who has been telling the world of sailing through his drawings and stories for over forty years.

With Sail the Children, Besana has taken dozens of kids sailing, teaching them not only to sail but also to observe, tell and love the sea through drawing, photography and video.

The Sailors for Kids Association will continue this mission with a full schedule of activities for the 2025 season. A unique opportunity for many young people to experience the sea in a creative and educational way, guided by Besana and his fellow sailors, artists and photographers. Youth sailing enthusiasts will have the chance to engage in this inspiring initiative.

The evening of February 20th

The purpose of the evening will be to support the initiative through a charity event, which will help fund the Association’s activities and enable many young people to have unforgettable experiences at sea.

For the occasion, an exclusive work by Davide Besana dedicated to the last edition of the America’s Cup will also be auctioned off, making it a special moment for America’s Cup art lovers.

The event has the patronage of the Italian Sailing Federation, Coast Guard, La Scala Sailing Team, Lega Navale Italiana and in support of Save the Children
