Aurora and Rodobal stainless steel series

Getecno (Genoa, Italy) is an international vendor of rod ends, parts for motion transfer combining the rotation or oscillation, with the possibility of misalignment of the pin or bolt passing by the inner ring. It is also the master distributor for the RODOBAL and AURORA range, metric and imperial sizes.

Main functions In the marine industry, rod ends are used in canopy actuators, flexible cable ends, and hydraulic cylinder ends for steering linkages, and even on trim tabs and gangways actuators. In powerboats the two stern drive are often linked using connecting bars with rod ends. In high power surface drives, larger stainless rod ends are important for smooth trimming and angle variation.

Do you have elements of technological innovation?

Getecno’s parts do not need any thanks to a reinforced anti-friction liner made out of metal fabric, PTFE coated, placed between race and ball, used to keep friction rates very low. In this way, grease contamination both of sea and near environment can be avoided.

  • RODOBAL components suitable for the marine environment belong to the high resistance/extra stainless/maintenance-free range and are manufactured in Europe.
  • AURORA rod ends, made in USA, feature 17-4 PH stainless steel bodies, with high load capacity. For mild, medium, or highly corrosive environments, there are 3 options for stainless types, featuring different degrees of corrosion resistance and the best ratio among load capacity, corrosion resistance and cost.
