Vaber introduces QUICK TACK HD, a reliable solution for securing core materials during infusion processes in marine composite manufacturing, where performance and repeatability are essential.

In the demanding world of advanced composite manufacturing for the marine industry, where precision, speed and structural integrity are key, Vaber Industriale introduces QUICK TACK HD: a high-strength spray adhesive specifically developed to support marine composite manufacturing processes.

The product is designed for securing heavy core materials, such as PVC foam, during the layup and infusion phases, including vacuum infusion processes commonly used in boatbuilding.

A support for technicians and boatbuilders

Thanks to its advanced formulation, QUICK TACK HD ensures excellent tack and grip, while still allowing for material repositioning within the first minutes after application. This makes it a highly effective repositionable spray adhesive for complex laminations and large composite structures.

Fully compatible with polyester, vinylester and epoxy resins, the adhesive completely dissolves during infusion, preserving the mechanical performance of the final laminate and ensuring full compatibility with boatbuilding composite materials.

We developed QUICK TACK HD to support technicians and boatbuilders who need a strong and safe adhesive that simplifies the positioning of heavy elements without compromising the final part,” says Eng. Noemi Giorcelli, R&D Manager at Vaber.

Format and application kit

Available in two formats – a 500 ml spray can for small and flexible jobs and a 5 kg liquid drum, used with a professional pressure-feed spray system – QUICK TACK HD is ideal for both field applications and industrial workflows involved in marine composite manufacturing.

Vaber also offers a complete spray application kit with QUICK TACK HD guns (see photo), designed for continuous and uniform distribution over large surfaces. This makes it an excellent choice for boatyards and composite workshops working with vacuum infusion processes and requiring consistent results with minimal waste.

Key advantages
  • Excellent adhesion for heavy substrates
  • Repositionable within a short open time
  • Total compatibility with infusion resins
  • Suitable for complex surfaces (PVC, balsa, honeycomb, etc.)
  • Dissolves completely during resin flow

How to apply

Apply a thin, uniform coat of QUICK TACK HD from a distance of 20–30 cm. Maximum adhesion develops within 30 seconds to a few minutes, depending on environmental conditions and the amount applied.
Materials can be repositioned during the early stages of curing. Porous or absorbent surfaces may require additional product compared to smooth, non-absorbent substrates.
Always ensure adequate ventilation and refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use.

Storage and shelf life

QUICK TACK HD should be stored in its original packaging in a dry, well-ventilated place at temperatures between +15°C and +25°C.
Shelf life: 24 months from date of manufacture.
