Milan, 15 April 2016. Nautica Italiana announced the entry of another 11 brands, which brings the total number of members to 61 from the initial 25 founding members: significant growth in just over seven months since its official presentation.
Confidence thus continues to build in the Association affiliated with Fondazione Altagamma and grouping together high-end Italian companies from the entire sector – Industry, Services and Territories – and that has further increased its representation of the sector through the addition of the new brands.
The 11 new high-end brands that joined Nautica Italiana are: Alfa Servizi Nautici, All Services, E-Nav, Italwinch, LG Anvera, Marina Cala de’ Medici, Marina di Portofino, Naval Tecno Sud, Optima Marine, Promotech and Videoworks, which add to the services, accessories and marinas segments, in which – as in shipbuilding – Italian companies are renowned for their excellence at the international level.
“We are proud to welcome another eleven brands, and further new membership applications are already being reviewed by the Board. The constant interest and confidence in the sector are confirmation of the strength of our strategic project, Nautica 365. For all of us, it is further encouragement to continue in this direction in pursuit of our mission of developing a sector of which Italy is the undisputed leader,” commented Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman of Nautica Italiana.
The admission of these new members further consolidates Nautica Italiana’s position in terms of overall turnover, which now accounts for more than 60% of total Italian nautical production turnover, and more than 80% of Italian shipyard turnover.
Also significant is the percentage of exports represented by Nautica Italiana members, which in the shipbuilding sector exceeds 95%.

Lg Anvera
LG was established in 2002 at the initiative of Luca Ferrari, as a company specialised in composite material processing and other services for the nautical industry. The company leverages the experience of Team Italia Offshore, a company created to conduct research and development of extreme technologies. In 2014, Luca Ferrari, together with Giancarlo Galeone and later Gilberto Grassi, decided to make the qualitative leap to LG with two important objectives: becoming a well-established service centre, acting as a hub for know-how and skills and creating niche products which sum up its expertise.
In this way, a working group was re-established, which over the past 20 years has produced historic and successful projects, synonymous with passion for the sea, technical and business skills, but most importantly a strong intuition for trends with the ability to dominate the market.
Anvera is the result of a ten-year experience accrued in competitions, most notably class 1 Offshore, but also in industrial sectors with a high technology content. This craft is not only lightweight, but also exceptionally resistant and safe; it requires complex and technological design, the use of special materials and attention to the smallest details. Moreover, the materials used include hardly any wood. Anvera is built using unidirectional or multiaxial carbon, very thick high-density PVC, and epoxy resin. All these materials are strong, as well as having high resistance to stress and impact.
