The opening confirms the appointment of FirmaSud as official 2017 Volvo Penta Center

On March 23rd, 2018, FirmaSud, the new Volvo Penta dealer for Sicily has been opened in Catania. The new headquarters of FirmaSud include an exhibition area, a mechanical workshop and a spare parts warehouse in a 1,200-square-metre space.

The Volvo Penta Center is operative in the new headquarters since April 2017 and counts 9 employees. Moreover, FirmaSud holds a sales outlet in Siracusa since 2014. The supply offered by FirmaSud includes the sale of Volvo Penta engines and spare parts, as well as assistance and repair services for the marine and industrial clients.

Founded in 1996 by Filippo Grasso, FirmaSud undertook its partnership with Volvo Penta in 2002. In 2016, Salvo, Filippo’s son, took up the management of what, since 2017, has become the first and the only dealer in Sicily authorised by the Swedish company.

Ilenia Procicchiani, Dealer Business Manager Volvo Penta for Italy, commented: “FirmaSud manages all the 15 authorised workshops for Volvo Penta Service in Sicily and it is an important benchmark for our marine and industrial clients for what concerns engines, spare parts and after-sale services.”

Volvo Penta is a world-leader company in supplying engines for marine and industrial applications counting about 3,500 Volvo Penta Centers all over the world. In Italy, Volvo Penta has 154 Volvo Penta Service authorised workshops, depending on eight Volvo Penta Centers.
