lowrance fishing sonarLowrance®, company specialised in fishing electronics since 1957, has just announced the launch of its new high-resolution ActiveTarget™ Live sonar system, which can show real-time images of fish swimming in and around the structure as soon as they notice the bait.

This new technology combines stunning live sonar functionality with the innovative high-resolution HDS® LIVE Fishing System and the recently introduced HDS® Carbon and Lowrance Elite FS™ displays – providing ActiveTarget Live Sonar connectivity to a wide range of displays with different price ranges.

How the sonar works

ActiveTarget Live Sonar shows high resolution images of fish movements in real time. Thanks to this immediate feedback, anglers are able to instantly adjust the launch on the fish present based on live information they receive from the probe.

With three display options, ActiveTarget can be set to Forward, Down or Scout™ modes. Forward and Down views allow you to detect fish in front of or below the live sonar transducer, while the Scout mode provides an ultra-wide overhead view of fish structure and activity in front of the transducer – ideal to find schools of fish.

ActiveTarget is a perfect complement to Lowrance Active Imaging™ 3-in-1 sonar, which includes ultra-high-resolution SideScan and DownScan Imaging™ views for structure search and extraordinary target separation of Lowrance CHIRP sonar.

“This sonar is incredible. Regardless of my speed, or that of the electric motor, it provides instant feedback of a real picture of what is going on below the waterline, completely eliminating the guesswork,” said Skeet Reese, Professional Bass Angler, ex. BASS Angler of the Year and Bassmaster Classic Champion.

“I can’t wait to use it. I think it will allow me to catch a lot of fish, which probably wouldn’t be possible without it,” commented Jordan Lee, Professional Bass Angler, two-time former Bassmaster Classic Champion and reigning Major League Fishing.

More space for design: when technology frees creativity

On a yacht, every centimetre occupied by technical infrastructure is space taken away from something else. Reducing its footprint means reclaiming valuable areas and giving interior designers greater freedom in shaping onboard spaces. For Nextworks, this is precisely where the role of a solution provider begins.
