Alessandro Cappiello, founder and CEO of CMC Marine, was among the protagonists of Tech Talk: “Onboard Comfort”, the round table dedicated to on-board comfort organized during the Metstrade Connect event:

Creating a moment of debate was undoubtedly a winning idea for this event. In what is a historical period full of change and uncertainty, new organizational methods for events of this kind need to be constantly re-elaborated. For CMC Marine, which for years has undertaken an increasingly more widespread and extensive internationalization process, it is essential to interact with different realities, to observe the emergence of new types of boat owners, linked not only to the appearance of new geographical areas in the boating world, but also to the ongoing changes in the way of life on board, which calls for increasingly higher levels of comfort“.

As was clearly demonstrated during the Tech Talk, which was also attended by Eric Fetchko, President of Dometic Marine, and Ali Onger, Chief Commercial Officer of Sirena Marine, the debate with other sectors such as automotive, home automation and industrial design is an interesting topic for CMC Marine, which makes product technology, know-how and production processes its main strengths.

Contaminations from other sectors are always plus factors as long as we pay attention to some fundamental differences: a yacht is not a car or a villa but a complex system that sails, produces energy and contemplates the coexistence of many systems in different spaces but which are in communication with each other, a particular aspect that makes integration much more complex and therefore requires very special research and attention“, explained Cappiello.

The Tech Talk dedicated to on-board comfort, moderated by Ed Slack, editor of IBI Magazine and editorial director of IBI Boating Communications, will be online until the end of December and can be viewed on the website  https://www.metstrade.com/connect/
