Amer 110Amer Yachts added another flybridge model to its line-up, the Amer 110, which was recently launched and will become the Italian yard’s flagship.

The new Permare Group’s 33.5-metre yacht was built as a custom project for a t repeat client, who has already owned two yachts by Amer, the Amer 92’ and Amercento.

Amer 110 features a semi-displacement grp hull and grp superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) classification society rules.

The Amer 110 will be the first to feature Volvo Penta IPS pods as her main propulsion, which are more fuel-efficient than traditional diesels. Two groups of counter-rotating props will together provide a top speed of just under 30 knots with the excellent manoeuvrability one comes to expect from these machines. Such engines fitted onboard will also occupy less space in the engine room, which allows for more space on the lower deck for guest accommodation.

The shipyard reports that it has applied a new anti-foul film to the hull, something that has only been utilised in the naval field up till now. The benefits of this particular application is only required to be replaced every four years, reducing maintenance costs and time.

The Amer 110 will be making her world debut at the next edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival and Genoa Boat Show.
