Among the many innovations on display at the 15th edition of Seatec, there was also Sea Crowd, the first crowd-founding platform exclusively dedicated to the nautical sector and to marine technologies. The stand of the Italian Cluster of Maritime Technology was visited by a large number of engineers, designers and entrepreneurs who asked for information about the possibility to submit their projects to Sea Crowd.

On the occasion of the event, Augusto Vecchi, Sea Crowd’s Founder and President, the Managing Director Massimo Terenziani and Aldo Manna, Senior Manager, announced signing an agreement with Luca Cividini, sales representative of the historical Cividini Group, which operates in the construction sector and in the real estate, energy, food, since 1923 and which is also getting involved in the nautical sector, choosing to be part of the Sea Crowd Srl’s company structure with a stakeholding to diversify its investments.

Whether Luca Cividini or his son Gianluca will be part of Sea Crowd’s BoD is yet to be decided.

The Fintech platform for the nautical industry has been evaluated 2 million euro. In a few months the most remarkable innovative projects submitted to the platform have been 22, and they have globally asked financing for more than 4 million euro.  This is a clear sign proving that the nautical crowd-founding is in great activity.

In the first days of April, four new projects currently waiting for the technical board’s approval, will be published on the online platform.
