Morrelli & Melvin HH66 luxury racing super catamaran

HH66 is the first model in a new line of luxury racing super catamarans designed by Morrelli & Melvin in collaboration with Hudson Yacht’s international team of design engineers and builders.
The HH66 features light and strong materials, a high degree of luxury finishes and details, generous interior spaces, not normally found in performance cruising catamarans.
Designed for comfortable cruising, the vessel is also able to travel at speeds of 25 knots. Modern hull forms, the latest generation curved C daggerboards, and T rudders, incorporate design learnings from the latest America’s Cup campaigns. The hull and structure are 100% carbon fibre composite sandwich, which guarantees unparalleled strength and stiffness.
The HH66 has 4m of daggerboard in the water at full draught with about a metre of curvature. This creates around 15 per cent “lift fraction”, which is a reference to the percentage of the boat’s overall weight (around 20 tonnes) that the boards can lift.
The HH66 offers customisable interior and exterior layouts, completed with a unique styling, innovative sailing systems, and beautiful interiors. High performance elements will make this boat a competitive racer in any venue.

Gino Morrelli and Pete Melvin have been developing catamaran performance technology over the last three decades. The HH66 represents the evolution of Morrell and Melvin’s 25 years of performance catamaran designs. Experience certified in three America’s Cup campaigns, around the world records, 24 hour records, and over 25 custom cruising catamaran designs from 46ft to 90ft. Their credits include extensive developments with the A Class catamaran, Steve Fossett’s Playstation catamaran, BMW Oracle America’s Cup winner, the Emirates Team New Zealand AC72 that brought the world to foiling, the Olympic Nacra 17 and the junior class, Nacra 15. Morrelli and Melvin are considering the idea to enter the performance superyacht market, extending the range of their racing luxury catamarans.
