Innovation has always been at the core of ITW Performance Polymers and Vaber Industrial Spa, the official distributor of Plexus technologies in Italy. At METSTRADE 2025 in Amsterdam (Hall 11, stand 11.613), a significant new development will be presented: the transition from the traditional 380 ml cartridges to the new Medmix F-System 490 ml cartridges for Plexus 10:1 structural adhesives.
The new format involves several Plexus adhesive series, including MA420, MA422, MA425, MA830, MA832 and MA920, all widely used in the marine adhesives and composite industries. Comparative testing has shown that the new cartridge ensures more consistent dispensing, improved mixing uniformity, and reduced purging requirements, resulting in time and material savings.
The system has been designed for both convenience and reliability: the 490 ml cartridges require dedicated mixers and compatible manual or pneumatic dispensers, ensuring stable flow and constant application quality. On the logistics side, each box now contains 12 cartridges instead of 10, improving supply efficiency.

This product evolution comes at a particularly important time for Plexus: several adhesives in the range (including MA420, MA425, MA530 and MA560) have recently obtained RINA certification, officially confirming their suitability for composite bonding and structural use in the marine sector. This represents an additional guarantee of quality and safety for shipyards and designers.
METSTRADE 2025 therefore provides the ideal stage to present this dual innovation: on the one hand, a more practical and high-performing format, and on the other, the recognition of a leading certification body such as RINA. Together, Vaber and ITW Plexus strengthen their presence in the marine sector, confirming their commitment to being a reliable partner for a more efficient and competitive nautical industry.
The new 490 ml cartridge fits perfectly into a path of continuous improvement: certified products, easier to use, always available in stock, and ready to make a real difference on board.
