A new training course to become senior technicians for the yachting industry

livorno_interportoA new Diploma in technical higher education LIST – Logistic Infrastructure’s Senior Technician has been organised in Livorno and its province, by the Italian SuperYacht Life Foundation in collaboration with Formetica, financed by the project GiovaniSì and the Region of Tuscany.
The course, which will be free of charge for up to twenty students, is aimed at educating and training senior technicians with highly specialised competences and a high professional expertise in the technological field of the sustainable mobility. Such technicians are expected to soon enter the local, national and also international labour market in the yachting industry and logistics.
Nowadays, with yacht which are becoming bigger and bigger, it is necessary to have operators with a deep knowledge and expertise in the yachting industry and logistics: to manage to bring port authorities in the yachting world and education may create productive synergies and useful competences.
The course will be open for no more than twenty students owning a diploma of secondary higher education, and it will include 800-hour classes, 400-hour workshops and a 800-hour stage. All activities and classes will be provided by qualified working professionals, as well as Universities, Research Centres and Professional Training Centres. The course will be held at the Interporto Toscano Amerigo Vespucci (via delle Colline, 100, Guasticce Collesalvetti LI), it will start by October 31st 2016 and it will last until the end of October 2018.
