The big Italian brands to be showcased in Cannes

Salone Nautico CannesAfter officially leaving Confindustria, some of the most important brands of the Italian nautical industry decided to present their world previews and premieres at the upcoming events in France, the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 6th-11th) and the Monaco Yacht Show (September 28th– October 1st).
The most prestigious brands representing the excellence of the Made in Italy are more and more looking for international visibility abroad rather than in Italy and in its events (such as the Genoa Boat Show).
Perini Navi will be taking part to the Cannes Yachting Festival for the first time, bringing a 38-metre sloop named Dahlak. Ferretti Group will present a fleet of 20 models, among which 6 world debuts for the brands Ferretti Yachts, Custom Line, Riva and Pershing. Azimut/Benetti will be showcasing 17 models to represent the brand’s five collections. Baglietto will have two world previews, the Baglietto 46m Fast, which has been launched in May at the La Spezia facilities, and the new 54-metre Unicorn.
According to the brands who left Confindustria, there is not enough attention to the nautical sector in Italy, there is not a shared strategy to enhance the maritime-related services and the national and international market. This the reason why they had long been asking for the creation of a Federation gathering both Ucina Confindustria Nautica and Nautica Italiana, to be able to define common strategies and initiatives to support the nautical sector. The expected positive answer never came, and both the associations are acting according their own strategies.
