The yachting hub of Marina Genova Aeroporto, with its strategic position in the Mediterranean Sea, its close proximity to an international airport and room for over five hundred boats, officially opened a new dock during the last edition of Genoa Boat Show.
The dock adds four mooring spots suited to host superyachts up to 130 metres, and two further spaces for 90m superyachts as well. These spaces come in addition to the moorings already catering for yachts up to 90 metres: the world’s biggest and most sophisticated yachts and mega yachts find their home port within the marina’s wide areas, facilities and state-of–the-art services to offer efficient solutions to on board requirements.
“Our dock offers the widest availability in the whole of the Mediterranean of moorings for superyachts,” said Giuseppe Pappalardo, CEO of S.S.P. – Società Sviluppo Porti, the management company for the Marina.“Now Genoa can also join the exclusive club of ideal moorings for giga yachts. Our Marina can accommodate these large vessels while providing secure landings and high quality services which are a feature of our internationally acknowledged unique degree of competence.”

Students, Composites and Performance
Vaber worked with Politecnico di Torino to train engineering students who, between lectures and exams, design and build racing boats and single-seaters: materials, method and applied know-how at the core. They learnt when the process makes the difference – even beyond the university workshop – with Plexus structural adhesives, spray tack and infusion consumables, key elements in composite materials engineering.
