yacht presentation Presented to leading boatyards at the last Genoa Boat Show, today Space53 is a tried and tested location with clear ideas. A combination of space for meetings and reserved encounters with small groups, to present new models to existing and potential customers. But it is also a temporary office admirably connected with the quay where yachts can be moored for visits and tests on the water. Space53 is all this and much more.

The evolution of a space

presenting italian yachtStarted at the beginning of last year as a temporary space the presenting works of art, Jules and hosting company meetings, over the months it found its true vocation. Then it already had a relationship with the sea. Space53 is behind the old port of the Sicilian capital in an area once used for laying up boats, a metal foundry and old warehouses selling marine products. And it is in one of these warehouses, on the ground floor, that there is today the elegant space of about 50 m² furnished in minimalist Scandinavian style and decorated with Pastoral colours that fit in well with the classic Sicilian arch in sandstone and with the ancient beams carefully restored and left on view. An enormous single-piece glass door and intelligent modern lighting complete the effect.

Space53 today has programming exclusively dedicated to the sea in all its aspects. Over the course of the past year it housed exhibitions of Mediterranean ceramics, exhibitions of paintings of sailing boats and for a week was also transformed into a marine antiques shop. But today, this temporary space has become a new way of promoting the models that come from Italian shipyards.

An ideal place for presentations

yacht nautical eventWith this new formula, the spaces become the ideal place for presenting new yachts to existing customers or a selection of potential owners. A “white box” that is easy to fit out and furnish according to the taste of customers with posters on the walls, a coffee break corner and projection, using equipment already installed, of company videos or thrilling footage. But it’s not all theory!

A short walk away the organisation has available several berths in the finest stretch of the quay of the historic La Cala harbour. Now, after restoration, it has become the Palermo waterfront crowded by tourists, locals out for a stroll and runners. An elegant area full of nightspots that is a link between the old centre and the open sea. Here it will be possible to position the stands of customers, desks, flags and everything needed to visit the yachts moored there.

Features of the space

Obviously it is served by electricity, water and Wi-Fi. It’s an integration between a temporary office and the possibility of having yachts available to be visited just a few metres away. The formula Space53 recommends to yards is simple and striking: a long weekend of presentations and mini events that begins with visits to the boats and finishes with an aperitif in the office where details will be explained and deals concluded.

Space53 also provides interested customers with a small secretariat to send invitations to its databank (members of the leading regional sailing clubs and the Lega Navale), a press officer, hostess, steward to help with mooring, night surveillance, consultancy for logistics and the hospitality of staff and guests for any gala dinners at the end of the presentation.
