With a decree, the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has reopened the PNRR call for tenders for freight terminals, published on February 23, 2024. It is possible to apply until the 15th September.

The initiative provides €2.2 million in funding under Measure M3C2 I 2.1 “Digitization of the logistics chain” – Sub-investment 2.1.2 “Network of ports and freight terminals”.

This allows proposals to be submitted for co-financing of investments for the development and implementation of IT systems for freight terminals of national importance, in accordance with the interoperability standards defined by the National Digital Logistics Platform (PLN) and with particular regard to interconnection with port PCSs, using the resources of Measure M3C2 I 2.1 “Digitization of the logistics chain” – Sub-investment 2.1.2 “Network of ports and freight terminals”.

The measure aims to give a further boost to the modernization of national ports and freight villages, making logistics increasingly digital, fast, and sustainable.
