Ocean Signal and ACR Electronics, providers of cutting-edge marine safety equipment, are showcasing their latest innovative products at METSTRADE 2025, reinforcing their commitment to boating safety technology and advanced maritime protection systems.
Their display includes:
• the updated Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1 Personal Locator Beacon with RLS (Return Link Service), the new ACR Pathfinder AIS SART (Search and Rescue Transponder);
• the ACR RCL-100 and RCL-50 Searchlights with next-generation control upgrades;
• and the new ACR RCL-200 Searchlight.
Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1 with RLS
The updated Ocean Signal PLB1 is compatible with RLS alerting technology and can provide the user with confirmation that the international satellite system has received their distress message and location. User confirmation provides peace of mind that help is on the way, a crucial factor in marine emergency response.
The PLB1 is compact, lightweight and easy to use in the most challenging situations; it transmits the survivor’s position and ID to a Rescue Coordination Centre via satellite link when activated.
For those boaters seeking a powerful safety solution for rapid rescue in a man overboard emergency, Ocean Signal offers the rescueME PLB3. Combining multiple levels of integrated signal technology within a PLB for the first time, the next-generation beacon unites the global response capabilities of the Cospas-Sarsat rescue services, while also using AIS technology to indicate an MOB position to nearby vessels for immediate aid. This makes it an essential device in modern marine safety systems.

ACR Electronics Pathfinder AIS SART
The new ACR AIS SART builds upon the success of its predecessor, the ACR Pathfinder Pro, combining reliability with AIS technology to advance search and rescue equipment at seaWith the introduction of AIS functionality, the Pathfinder AIS SART offers a high level of maritime safety. Unlike traditional radar signals, the Pathfinder AIS provides increased visibility, with its distress signals received and displayed on any AIS receivers installed on nearby ships, SAR vessels, and aircraft. The AIS signals can also be picked up by AIS-equipped vessels and shore stations over a longer range.
In addition to its AIS functionality, the Pathfinder AIS also provides users with Near-Field Communications, or NFC capabilities, which allows for use with the ACR mobile App to view self-test, programming and beacon performance metrics, demonstrating the brand’s leadership in marine communication technology.
New ACR Electronics Searchlights
ACR Electronics is introducing enhanced versions of its RCL-100 and RCL-50 LED Searchlights to bring a new level of control, convenience and style to boaters.
Now featuring next-generation ACR searchlight control accessories, these searchlights offer improved usability and greater versatility to supplement their piercing high-intensity LED performance, reliability and efficient operation.
Key benefits include a return-to-home feature, which automatically returns the searchlight to a forward-facing orientation once the light is turned off. In addition, with the ability to control one or two searchlights independently or simultaneously, boaters can use one controller to easily toggle between lights or sync both lights for coordinated illumination.
With the first-of-its-kind wireless ACR Handheld Remote Control, boaters gain new convenience, with the option of focusing the searchlight beam on a target while walking around the boat — a major advancement in marine electronics innovation.
ACR Electronics also introduces the new RCL-200 Searchlight at METSTRADE 2025, further extending its range of reliable, high-performance solutions for professional and leisure vessels.
