Features of the mega yacht Kenshō

Delivered in July 2022, Kenshō is the result of a collaboration between the owner, who personally supervised the project, French design studio Jouin Manku, which designed the interior, and Azure Yacht Design, which, together with archineers.berlin, developed the exteriors.

From the exteriors down to the interiors, the narrative is fluid and contemporary: Teak, Marble, Onyx, Silk, Wool, Bronze, and Glass make up a heterogeneous set of materials blended together for a poetic result.

Consistent with The Italian Sea Group’s sustainability-oriented values, Admiral Kenshō has a diesel-electric propulsion system, with permanent magnet electric motors that provide efficiency and power with limited volumes. The propulsion system has five variable-speed generators, all equipped with particle filter systems to optimize consumption at any speed and reduce emissions into the atmosphere.

The design has been developed with a focus on the environment in compliance with the Classification Authority’s voluntary “ECO” notation; the hull has also been made by minimizing resistance through the use of azimuth propulsion and retractable stabilization wings.
