The third Lofrans’ & MAX POWER Convention unfolded this October at the LaLiBay Resort & Spa on Aegina Island. The convention has become a key event for the brands’ global network – a platform for sharing insights and shaping the future of marine technology and boating innovation.

The 2025 event brought together over 70 representatives of Lofrans’ and MAX POWER worldwide distribution and service network from more than 15 countries. During this year’s edition, the manufacturing brands showcased new marine equipment developments designed in line with market insights and the evolving needs of the boating industry, allowing attendees to share ideas, exchange experiences, and discuss the future of boating.

New products

Both Lofrans’ and MAX POWER, following industry’s trends, are incorporating 48V systems and are working on mobile applications with AI features, providing smarter, more efficient solutions for boaters. These advancements make it easier to control systems like marine windlasses and thrusters, enhancing convenience on the water.

Attendees had the opportunity to see first-hand the Lofrans’ XP800 Vertical Windlass, which introduces an IP67 vertical planetary gear motor for the first time. Its compact design is ideal for installation even by a single person, and its marine stainless-steel construction guarantees long-term durability.

The presentation of the new MAX POWER VIP ECO series was another highlight of the convention. These new electric thrusters feature brushless motors for reduced height and improved efficiency. Designed to provide better performance with less energy consumption, the VIP ECO series is built for smoother and quieter operation, all while making installation easier.

This event was also the occasion to present the new MAX POWER catalogue, which was handed out to all attendees. Beside the new VIP ECO Thrusters, the catalogue features the new 2 and 4-direction MAX POWER Joysticks for tunnel, retractable, and hydrostatic thrusters, offering precise control for smoother handling and enhanced manoeuvrability.
