The exterior and the interior have been designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon and Paris-based design studio Chahan Interior Design, while Azure Naval Architects served as the Owner’s representatives during the project.
Vertigo features a streamlined profile, with elegant and well proportioned lines. Her flared bow features a games deck and helicopter landing pad with a hangar below for a Bell 429 WLG helicopter.
The main deck aft is equipped with a glass-panelled swimming pool, whose panels also form the ceiling of the beach club below. The large sea-level beach club can be extended to almost double size when the transom and fold-down side terraces are opened.
“Creating a rigid shape with five 10-metre hatches in the hull represented an enormous structural challenge,” says Feadship Director Tom De Vries. “This holds especially true when you take into account that the pool is also in the aft deck. It requires an incredible level of engineering that very few yards are capable of.”
Glass railings allow for a clear view from the beach club to the sundeck. The large floor-to-ceiling windows throughout allow natural light and ocean views. The main deck serves as main guest accommodation, including six staterooms (two VIPs), a hairdressing saloon, a dedicated pantry and a private cinema.
The bridge deck hosts two staff cabins, which can be converted into guest suites. The deck also features a club lounge, offices for Owner and Captain, and a state-of-the-art Feadship wheelhouse.
The owner’s deck hosts a full-beam forward-facing stateroom with 180-degree views and a three-metre-high skylight ceiling above the bed. The gym is located on the sundeck.
“Vertigo sets a new standard for styling and is a true gentleman’s yacht,” adds De Vries. “Her beautiful shapes, gently flowing sheer line and iconic looks are the very definition of timelessness, and she is impeccably balanced in every respect. She is one of the most sophisticated superyachts ever to grace the world’s oceans.”
The two MTU 16V 4000 M63L engines provide a top speed of 17 knots with a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
